Mikołaj Sławkowski-Rode

Assistant Professor in the Department for Philosophy of Culture at the Institute of Philosophy, University of Warsaw as well as Junior Research Fellow, and tutor in Philosophy at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford. He is also a visiting lecturer at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at The University of Buckingham and teaches on their MA course in Philosophy. His PhD thesis on the experience of finitude written under Professor Sir Roger Scruton in Oxford, and Professor Zofia Rosinska in Warsaw, was nominated for the Ministerial Prize for the best research undertaken nationwide in 2016 in Poland. Since 2018 He is an associate member of the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion at the University of Oxford working on a John Templeton Foundation Grant “Science, Theology, and Humane Philosophy: Central and Eastern European Perspectives”. Mikołaj Sławkowski-Rode is also a founding member of the Humane Philosophy Society and organizer of the Humane Philosophy Project. His interests include: Philosophy of Religion, relations between Science and Religion, Philosophical Anthropology, Philosophy of Culture, as well as Consciousness and Experience. He is an editor in Eidos. A Journal for Philosophy of Culture.
