Andrew Ka Pok Tam

Andrew Ka Pok Tam is an affiliate of the School of Modern Languages and Cultures, University of Glasgow. He received his PhD in Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Glasgow in 2020. His research interests cover a wide range of traditions and disciplines, including the philosophy of culture, philosophy of history, philosophy of religion, hermeneutics, ethics, comparative philosophy, Continental philosophy (Kierkegaard and Hegel), Chinese philosophy, Japanese philosophy and Korean philosophy, as well as East Asian contextual theology. He published several articles in the Taiwan Journal of East Asian Studies, Logos and Pneuma, and Kierkegaard’s Study Yearbook and a textbook for undergraduate general education philosophy modules (2023). His current research projects include Monogatari Theology as a Way to Reconstruct Christianity with the Help of East Asian Culture Heritage (at the Institute for Advanced Study in Asian Cultures and Theologies 2023) and On Watsuji Tetsuro’s Aidagara and its Implications in Hong Kong Studies.
