Monika Murawska

Dr. hab. Monika Murawska is a philosopher and historian of art. She is an Associate Professor and Acting Chair of the Theory Department, Faculty of Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is a French-Polish translator, author of over 40 articles on French phenomenology, and the following books: Problem innego. Analiza porównawcza koncepcji Maurice’a Merleau-Ponty’ego i Emmanuela Lévinasa (Warszawa, 2005), Filozofowanie z zamkniętymi oczami. Fenomenologia ciała Michela Henry’ego (Wrocław, 2011) and Jean Renoir – malarz kadrów (2012). She translated work of: Jean-François Lyotard, Alain Bonfand, Henri Maldiney, Renaud Barbaras and others. Her research interests include: History of Art, Aesthetics, Phenomenology, and French Phenomenology.
