A Professor of Philosophy in the Institute of at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, where he also holds the position of the Chair of the Department of Cultural Anthropology and Departmental Erasmus Coordinator UMCS.He is a member of the National Council of Transplantation. He specializes in sciences on cognition and social communication, anthropology of medicine, philosophical psychopathology, and in the analysis of different dimensions of mental health and concepts of contemporary psychiatry and psychology. His research interests focus on methodological discussions in social sciences, cultural anthropology and cognitive science, and biological, psychological and socio-cultural determinants of human behavior and decision-making. Professor Andrzej Kapusta is the author of Filozofia ekstremalna.
