Marcus van Binsbergen is a master’s student in political philosophy and phenomenology at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy from Tilburg University (with distinction) and a bachelor’s degree in film from the University of the Arts Utrecht (graduated with honours). His research examines how phenomenology can illuminate political temporality and the foundations of democracy, and his current master’s thesis focuses on Ernesto Laclau’s theory of populism.
