Emerson R. Bodde
Philosophy PhD graduate student at Vanderbilt University. My present research interests include critical theory, contemporary Continental political theory generally, sovereignty, the role of myth and imagination in politics, political economy, and the philosophy of historical research. Methodologically, I am, when possible, trying to tie philosophical theory to concrete historical research or to the consensus of historians, whenever it actually exists. For fun, I mostly spend my time worrying about what I have done doing that I actually have time away from graduate work and teaching.
