Austin Rooney is a lecturer in the Philosophy and Religion department at Rutgers University-Camden, where he teaches courses in Ethics, Ancient Philosophy, Philosophy of Mind, and American Philosophy. During his career he has received and been nominated for numerous prizes for excellence in teaching. His long-term research project centers broadly on historical analyses of weakness of will, with especial interest in the theories of action drawn from the classic Pragmatists and later Wittgenstein that appear to reject the phenomenon.
