Krzysztof Matuszewski
born 1957, professor extraordinarius at the University of Łódź. Since 1984 he works in the Institute of Philosophy in the Department of Modern Philosophy. His main subject of research is modern French Philosophy. He has published, among others, in: „Colloquia Communia”, „Twórczość”, „Literatura na Świecie”, „Przegląd Humanistyczny”, „Sztuka i Filozofia”, „Nowa Krytyka”, „Humanistyka i Przyrodoznawstwo”. He is a translator from French (La Boétie, Sade, Fourier, Huysmans, Proust, Bataille, Blanchot, Klossowski, Foucault, Deleuze, Derrida, Vuarnet). He is an author of books: Wśród demonów i pozorów. Monomania Pierre’a Klossowskiego, Spacja, Warszawa 1995. – Georges Bataille. Inwokacje zatraty, WUŁ, Łódź 2006 (drugie wydanie: Instytut Mikołowski, Mikołów 2012). – Sade.
